SleepBreeze Case Study
SleepBreeze is an emerging company, with fresh ideas about cooling products.
SleepBreeze approached us last year with an innovative concept for a simple and practical personal cooling product, intended to help people sleep at night in hot climates. With an initial enclosure development complete, our challenge was to design the electronic platform, forming the functional basis of the product.
After a short feasibility study, a specification was finalised, and corintechDesign were able to put forward a proposal for design from initial concept through to final manufacture and assembly.

A period of research and development rapidly produced an electronic design, which enabled us to more accurately cost the finished product. Assisted by Corintech’s UK purchasing power and the sourcing knowledge of our Hong Kong office, we were able to find the best component suppliers, and to exceed expectations regarding unit cost. Our supplier vetting procedures assured SleepBreeze that components were being ethically sourced.
SleepBreeze promotes an environmentally aware ethos, and product efficiency and power consumption are key issues. We addressed this by designing an ultralowpower electronic platform, capable of being powered from mains, batteries or renewable sources.
With PCB layout complete and a clear physical understanding of the electronic assembly, mechanical design could proceed.
Establishing a design partnership with a local plastic moulding company was the key to effectively finalising specifications, and ironing out problems quickly.
Corintech’s volume manufacturing and component procurement capabilities will greatly benefit this product, as demand picks up.
We have been able to offer SleepBreeze a sliding scale for the manufacture of their new product. Production will begin here at our UK facility, but will be managed by our Hong Kong office as quantities increase.
With market release imminent, we are proud to have been part of this product’s evolution.
